My favorite restaurants and cafes in Hurghada

This Blog will not promote typical Egyptian dishes, since I have been living here for 18 years, so I am looking for restaurants where they will cook for me in a European style and at the same time tasty.

I don't want to say that I don't like Egyptian food, but once a week home-cooked food at my mother-in-law's, who cooks great, is enough for me.

So, what are my favorite places?

Costa Café

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a coffee drinker and I look for good coffee.

I like to go to the Costa café at the Sheraton. I like the coffee here and I also have a lot of work meetings here since it is located in the center.

Caffeine

But I discovered another great cafe

Caffeine, which is located on metro street in el Kawther, and in addition to excellent Colombian coffee, they also make incredible "cheesecakes" with strawberries and sour cream.

Bready bakery

Right next to Metra on Kawthri is the Bready bakery, where they bake fresh sourdough bread and other goodies, but especially incredible croissants. My favorite is with cream cheese inside and the coffee here is great too.

They also have great sandwiches with salmon or homemade smoked ham. Well, just yummy.

Jacobs Café

Another great place with great coffee is Jacobs cafe in Senzo mall. There are two of them, one outside and one inside. You can also have a good dessert with a great Cappuccino.

Mahmya beach

If you are looking for a place with an amazing view, coffee and good food, Mahmya Beach Restaurant and Bar wins for me. You can come here for breakfast, brunch, or dinner, or just for a glass of wine by the sea.

The food here is delicious and the place is simply amazing.

You are in the center but away from the noise and bustle. It is also possible to purchase entrance to the beach.

Thai garden

Another great place for dinner is the Thai Garden restaurant on Mamshi opposite the Steigenberger Hotel.

Zeitlos

If you're in the mood for nicely fried potatoes with onions, or fried gentian, or cheese spezle, you must go to the German restaurant Zeitloss, which is right next to the Bella Vista Hotel.

Among other things, they have great homemade desserts and ice cream.

Makisu Sushi

Last but not least, I have to mention my favorite Makisa.

The sushi here is always fresh and they also make perfect Asian noodles, which my children especially like.

I hope that I have inspired you at least a little and I will be glad if you write to me, which are your favorite places in Hurghada.
